Celebrity Makeovers: Drew Barrymore The Beauty Chameleon featured image

We saw her baby-faced and phoning home in ET. Then pink-haired and full of angst, showing off a bare midriff in the 90’s Mad Love-era. Now, as a 37-year-old mother-to-be, she’s an elegant, style innovator with an ever-changing beauty look that catches everyone’s attention. To date, Drew Barrymore’s latest transformation is one of our favorites. That’s why we had to ask her glam squad to give us all the details on her most recent beauty makeover.

From Hair to There
From sleek to wavy, and even period-inspired updos, Drew can pull off a multitude of styles. “Over the years, her style has reflected various times in her life,” says celebrity hairstylist Giannandrea. A style innovator as opposed to a follower, Drew’s hair is now layered in a long oval shape with long face-framing bangs. “She likes to wear it with its natural wave,” says her stylist Byron Williams. To care for her locks, Drew keeps washing to a minimum and uses a deep conditioning mask once or twice a week. Dry shampoo is a favorite, too.
Drew is perpetually altering her color. Over the years she’s gone from light to dark to red and back again. Celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham says, “Drew is a color chameleon. Her eyes and skin work well with most colors–we’ve tried them all and they all worked. Her green eyes allow her to pull off any color but, when she goes red they really pop.” And most recently Drew went back to a brown base with golden highlights.

Complexion perfection
To keep her skin immaculate, Drew visits aesthetician Faith Tatro at Los Angeles’ Touch of Faith Aesthetics every few weeks. “I exfoliate her skin, freshen it with active enzymes and extract any congestion,” says Tatro. “At home, I have her use a gentle cleanser and baby lotion with soothing essential oils from Episencial, which leaves her skin soft and radiant.”

Her beauty must-haves
Sunday Riley Primasilk Eye Color ($26) is a favorite for creating dramatic eyes.
Covergirl LashPerfection Mascara ($6) keeps Drew’s lashes long and lifted.
Korres, known for its natural botanical activities, counts Drew as a fan of the skin-care line.
