5-Minute Solutions For Dull Skin

Whether your skin is in desperate need of extra love or if you just want a little pampering, we've put together a few tips that can help give your face a little glow-all which can be done in under five minutes. Ready. Set. Glow.

One minute: Before heading out the door for work in the morning, drink a glass of water with freshly squeezed lemon to internally hydrate the skin for results that will last throughout the day. "Not only does this simple concoction strengthen melanin production, but it can also give the body and skin a burst of Vitamin C," says Tata Harper, CEO and founder of Tata Harper Skincare.

Two-three minutes: Slough off dead skin cells in a gentle circular motion with a two-in-one cleanser and exfoliator. “Use it on dry skin when you're in a hurry for the best results,” says Harper. Pick a mild exfoliator with pumpkin or pomegranate enzymes that won't strip the skin of essential oils and nutrients. We enjoy this one from Mario Badescu.

One minute: Skip the toner if you're trying to save time (most just balance the pH level of the skin), but don't forget to apply serum pre-moisturizer. “Serum is the most important product for anti-aging and preventative care, and is a necessary part of any regimen,” says Harper. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid that help fill in and plump up fine lines and wrinkles.

One minute: Apply a multi-tasking moisturizer with SPF 15 that contains light-reflecting ingredients to give your skin some sheen and protection from the sun. Try out the latest craze in skin-care BB Creams. See a video of BB creams we recommend here
