Goat’S Milk—Does A Body Good
By Brenna Fisher, Contributing Writer |
I love the idea of natural products (regrettably, sometimes more than the actual products). For me, it’s about weighing the pros and cons of each product to find a happy balance. Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s efficient, and I’m not one to sacrifice all synthetic ingredients if their counterparts deliver poor results. Luckily, the Alabu Almond Cleansing Bar has way more pros than cons. I’m a regular soap bar user so no sacrifice or longing for shower gel there. Finding a soap bar that doesn’t dry the skin can be tricky however. When I read that Alabu soap is made with goat’s milk and vitamins A, B6, C and E, I had pretty high expectations that my skin would not dry out. It’s only been one use, but my skin is definitely soft and smooth to the touch, which is a big plus! I would have liked more lather, but as is, it was enough to get the job done. My one gripe: the almond scent, while noticeable and lovely in the shower, disappeared from my skin by the time I reached the office in the morning so that was a slight disappointment. Overall, it’s a great product, and so is the vanilla lip balm—so smooth!
