Cover Up With Clay

When it comes to making my eyes look good, I have two strikes against me that I always have to work through. One: a tinge of hereditary dark circles that appear as pale bruises underneath my eyes. Two: insomnia, which exacerbates the aforementioned dark circles. So if I need to look good, concealer is a must. To be honest, I typically don't like the way it feels on my face so sometimes I skip it even when I shouldn't.

That's why Tarte's Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer is such a great find. It has rich pigment for full coverage, and is buildable for those really bad days when I wake up from a sleepless night and need addition cover. But it's also really creamy and smooth in texture. That smoothness is the result of a few key ingredients, namely Amazonian clay, and vitamins A and E, which also give my delicate under-eye skin a dose of hydration. The easy application (just blend in with your finger) also had me sold. (I always end up using my fingers anyway.)
