New Modern Treatments Complement Ancient Spa Rituals At Qua

The art of bathing dates back millennia. Part of the luxury of spending the day at the wonderful QUA Baths & Spa at Caesars Atlantic City, which celebrates that tradition, comes from indulging in the ritual and enjoying the stress-reducing and healing power of hydrotherapy. And while the elegant stone baths of varying temperatures are certainly a draw for the spa, new treatment offerings incorporating products from skin-care brand Chella offer healing powers of their own.
The intense hydration of the Chella CRYO Eye Treatment was particularly beneficial for me. As someone who battles frequent insomnia, I pretty much always have tired-looking eyes. The layered approach in this treatment gently cleansed, stimulated and moisturized the delicate skin around my eyes for noticeably reduced darkness and puffiness that lasted an entire week later.
By far the best part was the application of the Chella Anti-Fatigue Eye Mask. After placing a thin patch of skin-identical collagen soaked with a special activator under my eyes and covering them with pads, the aesthetician gently massaged the area around my eyes with ice-cold beauty globes, or smooth stones. This chilly therapy felt amazing and helped the eye mask develop so it could deliver its blend of collagen and amino acids to energize and lighten my under-eye circles. This was followed by Chella eye cream, line antidote and day cream applications designed to combat dullness and dehydration, minimize the appearance of fine lines and protect against free-radical damage, respectively.
After all that, rather than feeling all goopy, I felt great. These potent, concentrated products require very small amounts to do their work. Even with the small amounts used on it, that delicate skin felt softer, smoother and firmer. I was so reluctant to leave the tranquility of QUA, but I was comforted by the fact that at least I can try to recreate my eye treatment experience with Chella products at home.
