The Secret To A Longer-Lasting Keratin Treatment
By Aly Walansky, Contributing Writer |
I visited Maria Bonita Spa in New York a few weeks ago for a much-needed Brazilian Blowout-I was soon to go on a trip to Turks and Caicos, and there was no way I could handle the tropical climate with the frizz situation I had going on.
The blowout was a mega success-in fact, my hair is not showing any signs of keratin wash-out two full weeks later, but this was unlike other treatments in that I was invited to return a week later. Considering my hair has not been cooperating lately, having a stylist handle it and help get me ready for the Envix Super Premium 20-in1 Multiple-Action Deep Conditioning Hair Masque was a good idea.
Rogerio, my fabulous stylist, explained that by doing this at biweekly intervals following my Brazilian blowout, I'd keep my hair conditioned and healthy and perhaps even make the keratin results longer-lasting.
I'm one who believes I never have anything to lose in such situations. The Envix treatment is applied to the hair and combed through in sections, then pinned up and capped. I am doing it as a follow-up to the Brazilian treatment, but it can be used by anyone, for any reason, whenever their hair needs a pick-me-up. It combines 20 ingredients to help repair the hair such as wheat protein, silk, soy, collagen, as well as keratin, which may explain why it pairs so well with the treatment.
Envix also contains a blend of five amino acids, vitamins E and F and panthenol (found in many shine-activating products) and natural-derived ingredients like flax-seed oil, macadamia oil, shea butter, white clay and seaweed. So, I am confident that even if it doesn't make my treatment last longer, it can't possibly hurt my hair either. And, I must say, it's feeling pretty supple and soft since!
