A Better Skin Brightener
By Colleen DiFonzo , Contributing Writer |
Everything brightens up in springtime. Our wardrobes, nail polish colors, our spirits. So why shouldn't our skin? In preparation for the warmer months ahead, I've started using the newly released Purely White Skin Brightening line from Jurlique, a favorite in the all-natural skin-care category.
So what makes Purely White a step above all the other brightening and lightening systems? It's key ingredient is the kakadu plum, know to natives as the billygoat plum, harvested in South Australia. It boasts impressive vitamin C content that is 50 times higher than that of an orange and considered the highest in the world. Combined with citrus unshiu (a Japanese fruit extract), African birch (an antioxidant that increases skin firmness) and other natural forms of vitamin C, this powerful complexion cocktail has shown to even skin tone and fade skin discoloration in just 30 days!
I have 15 more days to go but already love the soft feeling of my skin that lasts all day.
I'm also quite fond of the brightening mist that I'll sporadically spray throughout the day. It's great if you want to alternate your normal cleanser and moisturizer while still getting brightening benefits.
The entire line, launching April 1 in stores, consists of a cleanser, mist, essence (serum), day cream and night treatment. Use them all or incorporate a couple into your routine. You'll be fresh faced and glowing just in time for the tulips to turn up.
