How Not To React To A Bad Manicure
By Marci Robin |
It's annoying when your manicure doesn't turn out the way you'd like. There are reasonable ways to handle it, such as calmly requesting a correction or refund. Cynthia Colston, however, expressed her disappointment through a series of actions that landed her in jail.
The 44-year-old Deltona resident was reportedly unhappy with both the length of her nails and the cost of the service. An argument between Colston and the nail technician turned ugly, and both women claim the other crossed a physical line. This is when Colston called 911-the first of four times.
When Colston felt that the police were taking too long to arrive at Central Nails, she called 911 two more times. A deputy arrived, and he attempted to settle the dispute, but Colston wasn't satisfied with the arbitration. Despite the deputy standing right next to her, she called 911 again.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office considered this a crime, and Colston's poorly manicured hands wound up in handcuffs. She spent less than a day in jail over the offense, charged with misuse of the 911 system.
