Who isn’t guilty of trying to guess which celebrities have had “a little work done”? It’s a favorite subject in the tabloids and at the office coffee maker, but some stars, like the lovely Teri Hatcher, are fed up with the petty presumptions.

The 45-year-old Desperate Housewives star took to Facebook for an arguably extreme way to prove she’s currently not getting Botox or Dysport injections: posting straight-out-of-the-shower, makeup-free photos of herself making expressions that denervating agents would otherwise inhibit.

In a photo album entitled “Oy with the Botox!!!” she wrote, “Thought about all those damn critics of my face. Love it or hate it, my face that is, no surgery, no implants, no matter what ‘they’ say.”

“Did I every [sic] toy with fillers or Botox over the years? Yes,” she admits. But as for her current visage, she asks, “Tell me, does this look Botoxed to you?” Her Facebook fans chimed in with comments to support her barefaced beauty.

“Oh look,” she joked, “I can raise my eyebrows and wrinkles show up on my forehead.” She went on to insist that she can express sadness, anger and confusion.

“Just me wanting to teach that all those glam versus trash pictures of celebs are about lighting. It’s not makeup, it’s not suregery [sic] or Botox,” she argues. “It’s light.”

Teri wasn’t just trying to correct critics, however. She was talking to regular women.

“Decided … to reveal some truths about ‘beauty’ and hope it makes you all easier on yourself,” she wrote. “Yes, I am alone in my bathroom naked in a towel on behalf of women everywhere trying to make a point. Women, you are beautiful.”
