A Beauty Blogger's Breakthrough Skincare Collection
By Marci Robin |
If you picked up the new Winter-Spring edition of NewBeauty, you may have caught our piece on four of the web's best beauty bloggers, including the adorable Nadine Jolie, who runs jolienadine.com. But her site isn't the only thing with which she's making her (beauty) mark.
Nadine is also the creative director behind a brand new skincare line, aptly named JolieMD. The MD part comes from the collaboration with two plastic surgeons, who lent lots of expertise to the formulas in their signature system, Metamorphosis.
This two-part program includes a Softening Serum and an Enlightening Lotion, which work together to give you, in JolieMD's own words, "the smoothest, softest, most blemish-free and even-toned skin possible." And they included the ideal ingredients to achieve that goal.
Perhaps most notable is the plethora of skin-improving acids: glycolic, lactic, salicylic, phytic, malic, tartaric, citric and azelaic. Some exfoliate, some clarify, some fight free radicals, some diminish discoloration-all work towards wonderful skin. They're helped along by hyperpigmentation-policing components like alpha-arbutin, Whitonyl, and niacinamide, which also stimulates collagen alongside vitamin A.
Even the anti-inflammatory ingredients in this duo do more than calm skin: Symcalmin increases the efficiency of other actives, and feverfew adds to the antioxidant benefits of green tea.
Nadine Jolie may blog about her love of drugstore skincare brands like Neutrogena, but we love her new high-performance products-and we have a feeling you will, too!
