The Mineral Makeup Movement

Once hard to find and more common in boutiques than department stores and drugstores, mineral makeup has grown into its own category within the cosmetics industry. Praised for its healthy ingredients, true mineral makeup offers natural sun protection, doesn't clog pores, and won't breed bacteria like traditional makeup.

Most mineral makeup doesn't contain impurities. There are no added preservatives, formaldehyde, talc, oils, waxes, fillers, or perfumes, so it is often an excellent choice for sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Originally, mineral makeup was available in foundation and powder formulations, but now there are a variety of mineral makeup products, including eye shadow, lipstick, mascara, blush and even primer.
