Battle Breakage By Cutting Back On Colorist Appointments

As the weather gets cooler, damaged hair becomes more prone to breakage-especially if it's color-treated. You don't have to fret, though-there's a way to keep your hair healthier and maybe even save some money.

According to celebrity stylist Ted Gibson of the Ted Gibson Salon in New York City, you can protect damaged hair from breakage during colder months by extending the time between your coloring appointments.

Gibson suggests using color-depositing shampoos and conditioners, which gently leave small amounts of color in your hair, increasing the longevity of your color and keeping it healthier for longer.
