Just The Juice To Boost Your Beauty

I was at Target over the weekend, buying a dress, a comforter and disinfecting wipes-the typical motley Target purchase-when I made an unscheduled pause in the produce department. There, among the fancier, natural juices, was a bottle with the word "Beauty" in big, bold font. I'm programmed to take interest in anything bearing that word, so I moved in for a better look.

Upon closer inspection, I saw the name of the beverage was Beauty BOOST, made by juice producer Genesis BOOST. This brand is all about "superfruits," and the one at the center of this drink is acai-10,000 milligrams of it. Packed with antioxidants, Beauty BOOST pledges to promote healthier skin, hair and nails, support your anti-aging efforts, and even aid in weight control through botanical proteins, essential fatty acids, flavonoids, fiber, and vitamin C.

I purchased it, even though my unsophisticated palate typically leads me to dislike most juices other than the ones I grew up on. But to my surprise, it was totally delicious, thanks to the help of pear, grape and black currant juices mixed in with the acai berry.

Obviously, one bottle didn't instantly clear the zit on my chin, de-frizz my hair and dissolve 10 pounds. (That would be a magic potion-not juice.) But as a treat a few times a week, Beauty BOOST is a yummy way to supplement my other appearance-improving efforts.
