A Hair-Mellowing Mask Out Of Miami
By Marci Robin |
I like to think I know of every beauty brand out there, but I also like being proven wrong, because I get to try something new. When I came across Mirta de Perales products at the supermarket, I couldn't believe this bilingual brand, based in Miami, had never made a blip on my radar. But my shock quickly turned to enthusiasm as I reached for the Deep Conditioning Hair Masque.
I was drawn to both the swirly, orange jar-one of the only Mirta de Perales packages that doesn't feature an endearingly odd vintage photo of what I assume is the founder-and the promises of frizz elimination and manageability. Meant for dry, brittle hair like mine, this yummy-smelling mask claims to impart revitalizing hydration-and that's exactly what it did.
Although you have the option of leaving it on for 10 minutes, I only had time for a three-minute session at first. But even though I kept it on for the minimum recommended time, the difference was clear. My hair was softer and shinier, thanks to the mask effectively smoothing the cuticle.
Now that I know of Mirta de Perales and the great results of at least one of its products, it would be unfair of me to keep it all to myself (though I'm tempted). The brand can be hard to find, though, so instead of luckily stumbling upon it, use the link below.
