Revive A Fatigued Face—Fast!

Ever had too much wine? Let me rephrase: have you had a stressful day that could only be followed up with a rough night out, and the next day your face looks like angry parchment paper? Heavy masks and night creams are no good for day, and sometimes moisturizing, even a multi-tiered regimen like mine, just isn't enough. I'm in that complexion limbo between adult acne (is it still adult acne if I'm wearing pigtails with a beanie cap?) and the onset of aging, and it takes a really specific kind of product to soothe the savage face. I tried the Energising Mask from the Matis line called Reponse Vitalite, which my two years of high-school French suggested would make my skin look really vibrant really fast. It did not disappoint! You apply a thick-ish layer of the gel to your face and neck, and wait a short ten minutes. My skin soaked most of it up like a Sham-Wow, and when time is up, you simply tissue it off, or use a warm, damp cloth. And its light-but-not-sweet lemon scent wakes up your senses as well as your face. It's great to use right after exfoliating, when your skin especially needs calming nutrients and moisture. This mask is a great product for city dwellers who get smacked upside the face with bus fumes while crossing the street, or for when your skin looks more stressed out than you are, or for the morning after Joey-in-Accounting's sendoff at the Rattlesnake Bar when your friend Don Julio got the better of you. I just used the mask again after a tenacious gym session, and my face perked up way faster than I did!
