A Tropical Body Oil Treat
By Heather Long, Aesthetician |
I never really thought to moisturize with a body oil. When I think of body oils, the first thought in my mind is of baby oils and stuff that women used to bake themselves in the sun with in the '80s. So it never appealed to me-then I got my hands on Pure Fiji Exotic Bath & Body Oil, and I am now officially turned on to this oil thing!
The first ingredient listed is virgin coconut oil, which comes from fresh coconuts, is unrefined, and extremely stable in structure. It also contains macadamia nut oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids, dilo (or tamanu) nut oil, which serves as an anti-inflammatory, and sikeci (also known as candlenut or kukui) oil, which quenches dry skin instantly.
Not only have I been using this oil on my body, but I used it as a massage tool for a workshop I attended one weekend. I also threw a few drops of it onto my dry hair and scalp, and saw my normally dull locks transform into smooth, shining ones.
I've only used the mango scent so far, but look forward to trying their other infusions. It smells so good, you'll want to drink the bottle! Plus, my husband hasn't stopped telling me how amazing I smell since I've been using this stuff!
