Dr. Perricone's New Anti-Aging Weapon
By Paige Herman-Axel |
Last night, I tried N.V. Perricone M.D.'s Neuropeptide Firming Moisturizer. While I'll admit I don't need much help in the firming department yet, I'm always up for something new.
After washing and exfoliating, I applied the cream. It has a whipped consistency, and it left my skin silky-soft with an almost powdery finish. My skin was definitely matte (personally, I prefer a more dewy finish), but I think this is due to the wrinkle-reducing peptides. My first thought was that this would make a fabulous makeup primer, so I'll have to try it again in the morning. The scent was on the perfume-y side, but not in a bad way, and it hung around for a little while.
The main active ingredients are DMAE (one of Dr. Perricone's faves) to firm and lift, neuropeptides to reduce the depth of fine lines and wrinkles, and phosphatidylcholine to hydrate. I'd definitely recommend it to just about anyone looking to prevent and reverse the visible signs of aging.
