Organic Vs. Natural
By Marie Czenko Kuechel , NewBeauty Editor-at-Large |
It's often confusing, but very attractive: skin care or any product labeled either “all-natural” or “organic.” But what's really the difference between these terms?
“All-natural” means that something is derived naturally from a plant, animal or mineral source. "Organic" means something is free from hormones, pesticides, preservatives or other potentially harmful or synthetic agents that can alter the final product as it grows in its life cycle. Many times, on organic products, you'll see a certification symbol from the USDA or another ecological agency.
