This Camera Doesn’T Add Ten Pounds… It Subtracts Them
By Dorian Wagner |
They say the camera adds ten pounds. Ten pounds?! No wonder I always hate the way I look in pictures! I don't know about you, but I could stand to lose a few pounds-not add them. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way, and Hewlett-Packard must have figured that out, because they've developed a digital camera that has a special effect to make you appear a little fitter.
When the revolutionary "slimming" feature of the HP Photosmart R967 is used, your photos are subtly elongated, making the subject appear more slender. It can be adjusted, so you have the choice between shaving off up to ten pounds or accepting the shot as-is.
The verdict is still out, however, on whether people want real memories or just want to look real good.
