Complicated Names, Uncomplicated Beauty
There's something about a practically unpronounceable beauty product that just makes it seem- good. I mean, look at some of the mouthful-and-then-some product names from the new plant-based REN skincare line: Frankincense and Boswellia Serrata Revitalising Night Cream, Zostera Marina Cleansing Milk Wash, Jiaogulan Revitalising Facial Mask, Rosa Centifolia Facial Wash, Mayblossom and Konjac Balancing Moisturizer, Guerande Salt Exfoliating Body Balm. I'm so confused and intimidated by all the unfamiliar words that I'm absolutely positive that REN will become my new favorite line.
We're especially intrigued by the Damask Rose Ramnose Biosaccharide Body Cream. Let me break this down for you: Damask rose is simply a flower renowned for its scent; and in this rich cream, it's used to promote a feeling of well-being. Ramnose is a sugar molecule capable of stimulating endorphin release, therefore increasing the calming effects of the damask rose. (Still following? Good.) Biosaccharide is known to increase skin's ability to absorb moisture.
In other words, you'll be calm and moisturized when you use this stuff. But if they'd called it You'll Be Calm And Moisturized When You Use This Stuff Body Cream, would you be nearly as intrigued? Didn't think so.
