Hampton Sun Introduces A Scent
By Paige Herman-Axel |
After spending many summers in the Hamptons, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the first fragrance from Hampton Sun: Privet Bloom. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I found myself wondering if it was possible to bottle the captivating allure of these tony seaside towns. Much to my surprise, Hampton Sun founder Salvatore Piazzolla did.
Privet Bloom is a breath of fresh air with its top notes of lemon verbena and bergamot blended with white hyacinth, sea grass and cucumber. While the first whiff was a little too floral for my taste-it also features jasmine, gardenia, dune rose and other blooms- after a few minutes, it settled down, and more of the wood and musk base notes came through. I'm liking it more and more every time I wear it, and it's just what the doctor ordered to carry you through the last days of winter until spring has sprung.
Now, if it were only possible to bottle the scent of fresh-baked cookies from Tate's Bake Shop!
