Top LA Stylist, Adir Abergel, created Jessica Biel‘s soft red-carpet updo using Bumble and bumble. products. When Adir saw Jessica’s gorgeously ornate gown for the evening, he immediately decided it was best incorporate a look so uncontrived and simplistic that is looks like she could have created it herself. Adir wanted to “let the hair breathe, keep it youthful and not too constructed so it wouldn’t overtake her look.”

He began by using Bb. Thickening spray at the roots and blow dried her hair upside down “to get as much body as possible.” He then used Bb. Prep just on the ends to “defuse the body at the ends a bit.” After drying the hair using a round brush throughout the entire head in two inch sections, he wrapped bits around his finger and pinned to the head.

“The secret to this look is to let the pinned curls cool to set the body!” said Adir. Many people skip this step and end up losing the body they were trying to create. After the hair cooled down, he took out the pins and shook it out with his hands.

Then Adir used Bb. Sumo Tech at the roots to add textured volume, and a bit at the ends to break it up. Jessica’s hair was then twisted in sections and pinned to the back of her head to create a soft, romantic updo. Does It All spray was misted over the look for hold.
