Brush Away Dry, Itchy Skin

This time of year, dry itchy skin and keratosis pilaris (aka “chicken skin”) are quite common, and even the touch of warm water can result in a burning rather than soothing sensation. But would you believe a 7-year-old has found the solution? Last week I found my son with a Clarisonic Skin Care Brush in hand, happily massaging Aquanil into his skin. While Clarisonic is designed to be a wet skin-cleansing brush, to him, this was a means to scratch the itch. The reality was that within 2 days I put away his prescription treatments and his skin was not only itch free, it was smooth and soft, and now I'm sticking to the Clarisonic dry massage routine, too!
