Spa treatments at the supermarket may seem like a foreign concept, but Whole Foods is looking to go above and beyond for their wellness-minded customers. The supermarket chain unveiled a seven-room space in its Dallas store last month, five years after launching their first health and beauty store, Whole Body, in New York City.
This first venture into the spa arena, called Refresh-The Everyday Spa, offers a full menu of face and body services that use Dr. Hauschka, Red Flower and Auracacia products, plus a retail shop for products, jewelry, linens, shoes and clothing. Wellness consultants and nutritionists are also available by appointment. Whole Foods is using the Dallas spa as a test before rolling out similar spas across the country, which are all designed to fit with the stores' locales.
