As the world keeps changing due to the coronavirus pandemic, so is the content on social media. Halle Berry, who usually posts her #FitnessFriday workout sessions on IGTV recently shook things up with a “Quarantine Edition”, focusing on her 4-step skin-care routine instead.

The 53-year-old actor came up with the idea at home where she is currently practicing the art of social distancing. See, there are some perks to staying indoors. “Things have been especially crazy, and self-care is an absolute essential right now,” she wrote in a caption on Instagram. “Hope that y’all can participate and really enjoy that extra time to comfort and pamper yourself. You absolutely deserve it.”

Berry notes she has followed a skin-care routine religiously since the age of 16. Ahead, a full breakdown on how the Oscar winner maintains her glowing skin.

Step 1: Cleanse
Starting off, Berry used the Olga Lorencin Rehydrating Cleanser ($42) and rigorously rubbed the product in an upward motion. “This is going to serve you well as the years go by,” she notes. Following, she went for a deeper clean with the help of the Philips VisaPure Advanced Electric Facial Cleansing Brush ($200) which reduces the appearance of pores blackheads.

Step 2: Exfoliate
Next up, Berry applied a dollop of Ole Henriksen’s Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub ($28) and gently massaged it throughout her face to help slough off dead skin cells. She notes the scrub’s “eucalyptus-y” scent and says, “I’ve tried a lot over the years and this consistently stays my favorite.”

Step 3: Mask
For hydration, the star’s mask of choice is the SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque which goes on clear and contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5. Literally slapping on the product, she notes the process of doing so “wakes up” her skin cells and feels more refreshing. After leaving it on for 15 minutes, comes the final step…

Step 4: Moisturize
Last but not least is Berry’s favorite part. “I like for my skin to drink a good dose of lactic acid,” she says while applying the Olga Lorencin Lactic Acid Hydrating Serum ($79). This oil-free, anti-aging pore refiner works to instantly hydrate and smooth fine lines. Berry emphasizes the importance of moisturizing before applying cosmetics. “I always believe you’ve got to start with the skin. You can’t paint a pretty picture if you don’t have a good canvas.”

“With that, I say enjoy this quarantine time to the best of your abilities,” says Berry at the end of the 5-minute, 49-second video. “Use it to do things that you don’t normally get to do because we’re so busy in our everyday lives. Love yourself, love your family, read a book, do yoga, meditate.”
