I’m diligent with my cleansers, serums, peels and hydrators, but I’ve never been one to rave about an eye cream. Isn’t taking moisturizer up around your eyes (but not too close, I know!) enough? The microbiome is a protective layer of “good” bacteria we all have on the surface of our skin. When disrupted with common culprits such as indoor blue light from our tech devices, as well as environmental damage (ie pollution and climate change), it, along with the skin’s barrier, is thinned out and stripped. The result: more visible lines and wrinkles (hello, crow’s feet), an overall dull appearance, a dip in elasticity and heightened puffiness.

And after taking one look at what a simple extra step can do in just four weeks, I was officially hooked.
