Get to the Point:
The second week of July, wet n wild released its limited-edition Pac-Man collection, a kitschy mix of makeup-themed products that are really, really good and really, really reasonably priced.

My love for Pac-Man is long-standing and unwavering. It was the second Nintendo game I ever bought and I’ll never pass up playing the arcade-machine version whenever I see one. (I also won’t stop playing until I can get a high score with my initials on the board but that’s a deeper issue).

So when I saw wet n wild’s latest collection—a pop culture–inspired offering of pigments, brushes, palettes, lip product, and nail color—I was sold. The packaging! The names! The attention to detail (the bronzer and the highlighter are pellet-shaped, people)! It was all just so, so perfect for my 80s-fueled brain.
The Power Pellets Bronzer ($7) is particularly good and has made my two-step summer routine—tinted sunscreen with this over it—so easy. It’s a tiny pot of pearls that looks rather shimmery, fairly bold and borderline intimidating, but, when applied, it’s the perfect amount of buildable, seamless bronze that’s glowing and goof-proof. Ms. Pac-Man would be proud.
