A Shag for Any Length

“A polished and sophisticated shag is back for short, medium and long hair. This cut is flattering and works to help give volume and movement to any length of hair. It also looks amazing when you just wash and wear it as well as when it’s styled for a more polished finish.” —Linet K

Warmer Tones

“Warm tones including honey and soft copper are the colors to go with this season. We saw this on the runway. Pantone’s color of the year is coral. Hygge hair! Hygge means comfort or warmth in Danish. We have left the cool or ash side of hair color behind a bit and are embracing warm tones. The great thing about this trend is that warm tones are typically very flattering on most people.” —Christine Thompson, Spoke and Weal

Curtain Fringe Bangs

“70s inspired curtain fringe—think Jane Birkin and soft mid-length 70s cuts. These cuts are very versatile and work on almost everyone. They also have a mood. Free flowing, peace loving, very feminine—but also in a eff-the-man type of vibe. Independent and fearless.” —Jon Reyman, Spoke & Weal

Adrogynous

“The garçon ladies hair trend this season is short and edgy, from a pixie cut to fully shaved. A good haircut should already be easy to style, but by using the right hair products you can make it even easier to create the look that you prefer. The androgynous trend can be worn either messy and raw or sleek and shiny—that way, you can change your look every day!” —Rob Peetoom

Big Hair

“I believe the biggest style trend will be big hair with light pieces around the face. Whether you have short hair or long hair, it can still be big hair. It’s natural for girls to want to liven and brighten things up for spring with light lipstick and pastel jackets. Nothing does that better than good hair with face framing highlights. No matter what base color you have, brightness around the face works by creating a soft look that’s perfect for warmer weather.” —Amanda Scott, Stylist, Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon
