On Twitter this weekend, she opened up about it again, admitting that she has not made any progress with the disease. The reality star wrote, "I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis. I’ve never seen it like this before and I can’t even cover it at this point. It’s taken over my body."
I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis. I’ve never seen it like this before and I can’t even cover it at this point. It’s taken over my body. Has anyone tried a medication for psoriasis & what kind works best? Need help ASAP!!!— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) December 24, 2018
She then went on to ask for recommendations from people who have tried different medications for the skin disorder.
After receiving her diagnosis back in 2011, Kim has tried a lot of different methods to keep the red, scaly patches from spreading, from breast milk to at-home light therapy. Sometimes she’s posted about the progress she’s made, getting it under control from time to time. But it seems none of them stuck for long-term benefits.
She isn’t the only one in the family who deals with it. She’s noted that her mom, Kris Jenner, also struggles with psoriasis. "It’s hereditary, so she spotted the symptoms immediately," she said back when she was diagnosed.
People went on to respond to her tweet, recommending medications, the most popular being Humira. "Topicals and ointments were not realistic for a busy life," wrote one Twitter user. "Get on Humira girl."
We’re not sure what Kardashian’s dermatologist will recommend is best for her, but we’re looking forward to seeing how she handles this seemingly out-of-control issue.
