Carrie Underwood has had a long and difficult journey over the past year dealing with the aftermath of her accident. So it was no surprise when the country singer decided to talk about it with Ellen when she appeared on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.
Back in 2017, Underwood was taken to the hospital to get stitches in her face after falling on some stairs. Slowly but surely, the country singer started to gradually step back into the limelight before making her first TV appearance back in May.

From the start, she warned fans that she might look different. This caused some backlash when the singer stepped out looking like her same old gorgeous self at the Country Music Awards.
When Ellen brought up it up to her, she said exactly what everyone else was thinking: “Do you think you look different? Because I don’t think you look different.”
Underwood answered honestly, saying she does think she looks a little bit different. But that wasn’t really the reason she made that announcement.
“My biggest worry at the time was like, if I say nothing, then later on… I feel like people are gonna say, ‘What has she done to herself electively?’ And it definitely was not a choice,” she told the talk show host.
Hopefully this long and tiring journey has just about come to an end. Underwood told Ellen, “I feel close to myself. I feel pretty close to normal.”
Once again, Ellen responded saying what we’re all thinking: “Well I think you look great.”
