The Diet Change That Helped Everyone in This Family Completely Transform Their Bodies in Just 6 Months


There’s no better time to get healthy than the present, and one family certainly seems to know that better than most. Without waiting for the new year to roll around to get started on their “get healthy” resolutions, Jesse Ding, 32, and his family completely transformed their bodies over the past six months, tracking their progress on social media.

According to an interview with INSIDER, Ding decided to help his family get into better shape once his father and mother moved into his home to help his pregnant wife. The new living conditions helped the family bond, allowing Ding to discover some sad news about his father.

"My father has always been a rather quiet man who kept to himself," he told INSIDER. "When some business losses made him depressed, I noticed that his health was declining and this made me sad." So, in order to help get his father back on track, he gained about 20 pounds in order to join his father and his attempt to lose weight.


First, the father-son team began speed walking to jumpstart their new exercise regime. Then, they escalated their workouts to running and lifting weights at the gym. Once Ding’s mom and wife noticed their incredible progress, they joined in on their efforts as well. “Regular exercise, controlling your diet, and supporting each other is important,” Ding said, referring to the benefits of adopting a healthier lifestyle with people who will hold you accountable to do the work.


In addition to their newfound exercise regime, Ding and his family revamped their diet. "One thing that is very important to me is to have meals together as a family,” he said. “Home cooked, not fast food…This helps a lot I think."
