NewBeauty: What beauty tips did you learn being surrounded by so many women on the sets of the Pitch Perfect movies?
AC:
Less is more when going out after work. We wear sooo much makeup in the movie and on set, so simplifying when leaving to go out to dinner is key. Concealer, mascara, lip balm, and blush are my go-tos.

NB: What are your can’t-live-without beauty products?
AC:
Kate Somerville's gentle cleanser, ExfoliKate, and EradiKate for blemishes. Mario Badescu Rose Hips Oil, Sisley Paris rose facial spray, NARS concealer and Urban Decay NAKED bronzer/blush palette.

NB: Did you grow up with certain beauty ideals?
AC:
Being from the South, I really idolized feminine women. My mom would always wear beautiful, long, floral skirts, and I think that's where I got my love of sundresses. I also love a white tee or tank with faded jeans and boots. I'm a casual romantic when it comes to fashion.

NB: We love your hair color. Are you a natural blond?
AC:
I’m not a natural blond...shhhhhhh! Just kidding, I don't care. Lisa Calderone at GLAZE salon in Beverly Hills has been doing my color forever and she is THE BEST!! I'm dying to go back to my roots and then some by going deep, dark brown with some red undertones.

#tbt Noomi! I wanna go brunette!!! I miss #trueblood

NB: How do you stay fit?
AC:
I'm cardio all the way. Elliptical, running, hiking, swimming (my favorite), and dancing are my go-tos for a great workout.

NB: Have you jumped on the vegan or gluten-free bandwagons?
AC:
I’ve never been a vegetarian or vegan, or even tried—I like meat too much! I am, however, a firm believer in smart snacking. I am constantly on the go for work and I travel quite often, so having a healthy snack is key to keep my body nourished and prevent me from giving into cravings. I always keep a handful of almonds or fruit on hand.

NB: What is one beauty trend you would never try?
AC:
I would never get my lips injected with anything or go under the knife for my face.

NB: Do you use a ton of skin care products or is your routine fairly simple?
AC:
I'm very careful with my skin and with products. I wash my face every morning and night with Kate Somerville gentle cleanser and I swear by Mario Badescu Rose Hips Oil. No lotions or creams for me.

NB: True Blood had (and still has) a major fan following. Are there any behind-the-scenes secrets from the show you can share?
AC: I LOVED playing Sarah Newlin on True Blood. The writers really knew my strengths and gave me an amazing arc on that show. I was so sad to see it go; I think every cast member had a phenomenal time working together. It was a real dream job. As far as cast secrets...so much craziness happened behind the scenes, and if I told you, it wouldn't be a secret now would it?? ;)

NB: Is there one character or role you’d die to play one day?
AC:
I would love to play a role on TV or film like Nicole Kidman's in To Die For. I love being a bit crazy, sexy and driven. Also, Blanche DuBois from A Streetcar Named Desire is my dream role. I will play her one day if it’s the last role I ever do!!
