Tom Brady's New Meal Kits Let You Eat Exactly Like Him

New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady had his strict dietary choices (he and Gisele disclosed in 2016 that they eat 80 percent vegetables and no complex carbs) questioned all over social media last year, and now he's back in the foodie spotlight with his latest announcement.

Capturing the attention of the Superbowl MVP's fans and health gurus alike, the athlete just revealed news of a meal plan service partnership with Purple Carrot that will be branded under Brady's brand TB12 with the name TB12 Performance Meals. Each meal (you get shipped a box of ingredients with step-by-step directions for how to cook them) is plant-based, gluten-free, high in protein and low in refined sugars and soy. The company says you can expect options like Ramen Bowl With Charred Broccolini and Gingered Amaranth Greens, and White Lentil Risotto With Winter Roasted Vegetable, Meyer Lemon and Cashew Gremolata.

Brady told CNBC the meal kits are "designed for anyone who's looking to achieve or sustain their own peak performance. Whether that's in the gym, on the field or at work. We want to inspire everyone—not just athletes—to be their best, and I think these meals will be a big step in that direction."

The subscription-based plan ships customers three meals a week for two people and rings in at $78 (roughly $13 a meal). According to CNBC, many of the dishes that will be included are inspired by or taken from Brady's limited-edition, $200 "nutrition manual," which features 89 seasonal recipes and sold out in record time online last spring.

"A lot of people, when I started Purple Carrot, thought a plant-based kit would be niche in nature," CEO Andy Levitt told CNBC. "And I think we've shown through our growth that plant-based has become far more mainstream."

You can begin preordering your kits today at PurpleCarrot.com, and the first box will ship April 3 (quantities will be limited, so get yours before it's gone!).
