Don’t Get Offended by MAC’s New Basic B*tch Palette, It’s Really Good

Several MAC Cosmetics artists are testing MAC’s upcoming "Basic Bitch" eye shadow palette backstage during Milan's fashion week and are giving us a sneak peek, and it’s a lot prettier than the name implies. You may have never thought you'd own a makeup palette with a name that has its own entry in Urban Dictionary, but based on first impressions, you might be adding this one to your collection.

The tongue-in-cheek name aside, it really does have a lot of lust-worthy shades. With a mix of shimmery shadows, neutral shades and a must-have rosé pink highlighter, it’s enough to look past the shady name. The palette includes a few on-trend colors (like the rusty-cranberry shade, Hell in Heels) and some tried-and-true neutrals (like the Text Me Later smoky gray), and more shades to play with to create a bold and anything-but-basic look. We reached out to MAC to find out when you can get yours, and although the palettes are only being tested backstage at fashion shows right now, you won't have to wait long because they are slated for a spring-summer release.
