'Bachelor' Star Becca Tilley Shares Behind-the-Scenes Beauty Secrets
By Brittany Burhop Fallon, Beauty Director |
You may remember Southern belle Becca Tilley from The Bachelor (she was the runner-up on Chris Soules' season and also looked for love on Ben Higgins' season), and she's developed quite the fan following thanks to her fun-loving attitude, natural beauty and down-to-earth charm. While she's also been in the headlines lately for her new romance with fellow "Bachelor Nation" star Robert Graham, she's been incredibly busy launching her new blog to share her personal adventures with her many fans. Here, I had a chance to catch up with Tilley about some behind-the-scenes Bachelor secrets and so much more.

has your life been since your days on The Bachelor?
Becca Tilley: Well, after Chris's season, things went back to normal. I went back to my job and lived my life the same way I was living it before I went on the show. Aside from people occasionally coming up to say hello and asking for a photo, things are pretty normal!
the girls on the show do all of their own hair and makeup, even for rose ceremonies?
BT: Yes! Aside from the first night (and the final two), everyone does their own hair and makeup. I am now a PRO at applying false eyelashes! I also got really good at doing quick makeup.
NB: What are your must-have beauty products?
BT: I love MAC lipstick. I always try different brands and different colors, but always come back to MAC "Hue." I also love Burt's Bees chapstick! Can't sleep without it on!
is the focus of your new blog?
BT: I have a few different areas I want to focus on. People always ask me about fashion and beauty, so I will of course include that, but I want the main focus to be traveling. I have the opportunities to go and see so many cool places...I want to document it and show it to people! With my new YouTube channel, I am able to take my followers along with me on these adventures and provide interactive tutorials, so that will be a fun new aspect.

NB: How do you stay in shape?
BT: I am not a huge work-outter...(don't think that's a word, but just go with it). I go on walks and play sports if I am going to exercise. I want to try new things—that's going to be my goal this new year!
NB: Do you follow a specific skin care regimen, especially when you're always on the go?
BT: So funny you say that! I have had a hard time with my skin the past month. I didn't change anything, but my skin just had a freakout, so I am in the process of getting it back in good shape. I just started using Dermalogica products and REALLY like the line. I also get facials!
NB: At 28, what are your thoughts about women in their 20s getting treatments such as fillers to enhance their looks and/or confidence?
BT: I honestly don't have a problem with it. I do think people can take it too far and really strip their natural beauty. My thinking is that it isn't permanent, so if you want to try and get lip fillers, go for it—try it out! But also know that you don't NEED them to be beautiful! I genuinely think that if you have a pretty heart, you are beautiful with or without any enhancements!
NB: You have awesome hair. What products do you use?
BT: Thank you! I have thick hair with a lot of volume, but I also have extensions, so I can't take all of the credit! I go to Tauni at Nine Zero One (SHE'S AMAZING!) and I use Great Lengths extensions! Makes the getting-ready process so easy!
NB: Do you think people can really find love on The Bachelor?
BT: Of course! I think people can find love anywhere! Dating apps, TV shows, on an airplane, as little kids—I am a hopeless romantic, so I think you meet the right people at the right time and in the right place!
