Monochromatic makeup—the simple task of matching your makeup to your outfit—is not only easy to do, but pulls together any outfit in a pinch. Crimson Queens
Pairing her signature nude lip with a deep burgundy smoky eye, Jennifer Lopez’s makeup aligned perfectly with her velvet outfit. Going a more sparkly route, Halsey’s makeup artist used Lemonhead LA’s pigmented, shimmery hues to keep her crimson theme vibrant.
Garden Party
Taylor Swift’s lavender gown was paired with a hint of the same hue on her lids, and behind Dua Lipa’s crisp cat’s-eye was a matching shade of violet to take both purple dresses up a notch.
Gold Goddess
Demi Lovato and Ciara dusted their lids with gold shadow to mirror their gowns and allow their brown eyes to stand out.

Dark and Stormy
Mila Kunis’s little black dress paired perfectly with her graphite/black smoky eye; Jenna Dewan’s fresh, chin-length bob and leather dress worked perfectly with her dark smoky eye; and Christina Aguilera’s dark, luscious lashes and clear skin let her dress pop—even her lips were nude, with help from Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Liner in Lolita ($18) and Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick in Ophelia ($19).
