There’s a lot happening in the world of beauty. Rather than try to keep up with it all, let us help. Here is what you need to know today.

1. Summer heat proving too much for you? This Thursday, July 3, L’OCCITANE will launch a new Verbena Frisson Collection. The collection includes cooling products for summer like the brand’s Fresh Shower Gel ($20), a Cooling Body Mist ($16) and an Ice Gel for Legs & Feet ($22). Got to usa.loccitane.com for more.

2.The FDA issued a health warning for “certain over-the-counter topical acne products,” which according to the warning “can cause rare but serious and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions or severe irritation.” According to Refinery29, products with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid can cause “throat tightness; difficulty breathing; feeling faint; or swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue as well as any development of hives and/or itching.” The FDA recommends that anyone experiencing such symptoms should go to the hospital immediately. 3. Sephora launched a new way to shop…socially. Available via the brand’s site and app, The Beauty Board, allows beauty junkies to “upload images, tag products and offer tips on how they made it all come together,” says USAToday. The images can then be shared via Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook. Check it out for yourself here
