There’s a lot happening in the world of beauty. Rather than try to keep up with it all, let us help. Here is what you need to know today.
1. Elizabeth Arden launched a topical skin protection product, Triple Protection Factor Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50+, or TPF 50, which is part of their brand new Elizabeth Arden Rx, designed for exclusive distribution in physicians’ offices. It combines a broad spectrum SPF with an antioxidant complex and a DNA enzyme complex, which are supposed to protect against free radical damage. It will be available in doctor’s offices in April.
2. Is purple the new in hue…for hair? Kelly Osbourne started the trend and now both Nicole Richie and Ireland Baldwin are rocking violet locks. It is certainly not a look for all but if you’re interested, HollywoodLife.com has step-by-step instructions on how to copy this look.
3. Sonia Kashuk is launching new makeup, cosmetic bags and brush sets this month. The new line includes a foundation stick, a lip & cheek balm, a gel liner, a translucent powder and more. (You can check out the cute makeup bags and organizers above). Get yours at Target.
4. The world’s oldest woman celebrated her 116th birthday this week. According to TheGuardian.com, Misao Okawa, of Osaka, Japan, was born in 1898 and is one of 24 Japanese alive who have passed the 110-year milestone. Her secret to staying so young? Sushi and plenty of sleep.
