There’s a lot happening in the world of beauty. Rather than try to keep up with it all, let us help. Here is what you need to know today.

1. Polish beauty company Inglot Cosmetics announced plans to launch a new line of cream-based fragrances. The line will include five scents: Green Fruit, Purple Musk, Mandarin Crush, Bright Amber and Golden Wood. The scents can be layered to create an infinite number of original blends. The new products have already been released in select European markets and will be available in Inglot’s American stores, as well as some Macy’s locations, in October. For more information, check out their press release on Fragrantica.

2. A new study conducted by scientists at the University of Alabama Birmingham calls into question breakfast’s status as the most important meal of the day. The study, which tracked 309 adults, told some not to eat breakfast, some to eat breakfast, and some to eat healthy with no specific instructions regarding their morning meal. At the end of the study, breakfast consumption made no difference in the participants weight loss or gain. For more information, visit SFGate.

3. The FDA is considering making major changes to the Nutritional Facts label found on nearly every food item in the grocery store (with the exception of certain whole foods). The new label (shown on the Washington Post) will display calories and servings per container more prominently and will also contain separate categories for sugars and added sugars. This will allow consumers to easily separate okay sugars naturally found in whole foods like fruits and vegetables from harmful added sugars. The World Health Organization now recommends limiting daily intake of added sugars to 25 grams per day, or about 6 teaspoons.

4. Gustavo Nunez was arrested in Tucson, AZ, after performing liposuction and botox injections in his home without a license, a local news station reports. Police there have spoken with at least two victims, one of whom was hospitalized. As with any medical procedure, it is safest to have plastic surgery and injection performed in a hospital or doctor’s office where a sterile environment can be provided.
