There are many differences between various lasers, and just because you ask for one doesn’t mean the one you actually get will meet your expectations.
Doctors generally have one or two lasers in their offices. If he or she doesn’t have the one you specifically ask for, do your homework. For example, if you want Fraxel but your doctor recommends another fractional resurfacing treatment, you may want to ask how it’s different.
And just like with injectables, look for a logo on the machine to make sure you’re getting the treatment you requested or that was recommended for you.
