A young woman in Manchester, UK, Emma Jones, was left with a botched manicure that is now going viral after a friend and owner of a beauty salon posted the results of her unfortunately misshapen acrylic manicure. “This is what happened to my client when she went into a different local nail bar without doing her research…I couldn’t believe my eyes so I had to get a picture …£35 she paid for these,” wrote Angela Blemmings, owner of EyeCandy Salon in Cheshire.

The image spread across social media like wildfire, with many of Blemming’s followers asking who would charge £35 (around $45) for such outright shoddy work and urging Blemming to fix the offending acrylics as soon as possible.

Jones spoke with Mamamia and said she was horrified once she’d noticed how her new nails looked. “I was completely distracted at the salon because we were talking about my experiences in Turkey, as I have just come back from a holiday,” she said. “So, I headed out the salon and got in my car and thought what on earth has [the manicurist] done.” Jones was too embarrassed to say anything, so she went straight to see Blemming who came to her rescue and quickly removed and replaced the bulbous nails for a much more normal-looking set.
