Ready for a skin care product that rocks- literally? This September, Giorgio Armani makes his debut with an exotic skincare line made from volcanic rock. Plucked from Pantelleria, an Italian island located between Sicily and Tunisia, the main ingredient is extract of obsidian. Cream Nera for women will make its mark in September, followed by the launch of Skin Minerals for Men in 2008.

According to Fashion Wire Daily, when an Armani event was held in Paris last week to kick off the unveiling of the product, there was not a sample in sight, leaving the product much to the imagination. Regardless of how the new skin care line is received, be prepared to pay a heavy price. A mere 1.75 ounce jar of the Cream Nera will set you back a whopping $350.

However, if it’s like most things Armani (clothing, fragrances, etc.), you get what you pay for – which is a very good thing.
