Leggings are a favorite fashion staple for many reasons. No other article of clothing can match the versatility and comfort of a pair of black leggings. We wouldn’t give them up for anything. Until we read they could be making us fat.

According to the ladies across the pond at the Daily Mail, experts are warning that leggings may be making our muscles lazy, resulting in flabby tummies and wobbly legs. Apparently, while leggings hold you in, they are doing the jobs that our muscles should be doing. Our muscles relax while we are in leggings, leaving us less svelte and firm as a result. Additionally, while our problem areas like midriffs are covered in leggings, we may be less inclined to be toning up. Sigh.

It was only a few years ago that leggings made a comeback. Could this news be the end of the recent legging era? Are you going to have to retire your leggings after hearing this news?
