In yet another Instagram-worthy makeup must, two-toned lips look like they are having a major moment. The idea: Wear one color on your top lip; a totally different color on the bottom for something completely unique.

Of course, there’s a pretty big catch (even if you like the idea of getting to choose two colors daily): It probably won’t work if you rub your lips together.
“I love his trend for editorial beauty photos—it’s so fun to pair complementary colors, think Taylor Swift’s Grammy dress,” says Lori Leib, Bodyography creative director and makeup artist. “However, keeping this look perfect all day might be difficult. If you want to try this two toned look in real life I would try something subtle like a pinky nude and pinky mauve and make sure they’re matte and long wearing as to not bleed together!”
