You’ve probably heard about threadlifts for the face. However, some plastic surgeons are using threads to suspend the buttocks in a higher position, too.
While it may sound like an attractive alternative to a bodylift, this procedure is highly controversial, and long-term results are unknown at this point. This surgery is often accompanied by complications, and in many cases, the tissue of the buttocks is too heavy to be supported by the threads, causing them to break. Vigorous exercise can make these complications more likely.
If you’ve undergone this procedure and this does happen, you may need to have the broken threads removed, which can only be done surgically.
