Are Organic Beauty Products Automatically Better?

Are Organic Beauty Products Automatically Better? featured image

There’s a big push to go organic in the beauty world, and there’s a plenty of good reasons to jump on the bandwagon. However, there are some drawbacks to taking the natural or organic route.

When it comes to skincare and haircare, it’s important to understand that just because something is natural or organic doesn’t mean it’s hypoallergenic. Many of these products contain nuts, oils or beeswax that can cause allergic reactions or irritation.

Furthermore, although many natural ingredients have a noted impact on skin and hair, they are not necessarily proven to have the same effects as cosmeceutical or pharmaceutical-grade formulas. If you have specific beauty goals-and you want to meet them-you may be better off with products that have science and research behind them and effective concentrations of active ingredients necessary to deliver dramatic results.
