Jeans are a staple in the modern woman’s wardrobe, which is why the variety available is endless. There are tons of jeans out there claiming to suck and lift in all the right and wrong places to enhance a woman’s silhouette. The latest trend in denim goes one step further to actually incorporate cosmetic qualities into the denim.

Mohicano Jeans, a brand from Chile has a Denim Therapy collection with anti-cellulite properties. The actual jeans incorporate aloe vera particles in the cotton fibers that can provide vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants and enzymes to the skin when it comes in contact. The brand claims that they reduce the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite; stimulating cell growth, collagen and elastin.

Wrangler has also hopped on the cosmetic jean bandwagon with their new Denim Spa Therapy for Legs collection. The line infuses moisturizers and other natural elements into the denim for therapeutic properties. “This is a revolutionary product that will change women’s jeans forever,” Adam Kakembo, vice president of product told Women’s Wear Daily. “They look great and feel great, but the real difference is that these soft jeans moisturize your skin as you wear them.” Kakembo says that the cosmetic ingredients in the denim work for 15 days of wear or around six washes. After that, they need to be sprayed to reload the effects.

Amsterdam-based Gsus Sindustries also offers aloe vera jeans and Italian company LeRock has also created cosmetic jeans that claim to dissolve fat and fight cellulite. We expect to see these “spa jeans” popping up and gaining popularity stateside soon. Would you try a pair?
