Are Anti-Aging Supplements For Real?

If a company says that their anti-aging supplement can make wrinkles go away, they’re exaggerating. You shouldn’t expect a pill to erase years from your face. However, the right supplement can improve skin hydration and possibly delay wrinkles from forming.

The ingredients found in beauty supplements aren’t drastically different from those found in multivitamins. But typically, they contain higher doses of vitamins A, C and E, as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and copper. These vitamins and elements are believed to protect the cells from free-radical damage, while fatty acids are thought to enhance blood flow to the skin.

Supplements can promote skin longevity and slow down the aging process, but remember that they aren’t regulated the same way drugs are, so companies can make claims that aren’t supported by scientific evidence.
