It seems like every other week there’s another celebrity making an announcement for their latest beauty venture be it a new fragrance or a color collection. The latest star to jump on the bandwagon is Angela Bassett, but she’s doing something just a little bit different.
Rather than launching just any old skin care line, Angela, 57, went one step further to create one that focuses on the needs of darker skin tones. Developed with the help of her dermatologist and friend, Dr. Barbara Sturm, the five-piece collection, called Darker Skin Tones by Barbara Sturm, is all about simplistic products that really work with few ingredients, nothing harmful or irritating and as little preservatives as possible.

Included in the line, which counts purslane, an anti-inflammatory and hyperpigmentation correcting herb, as its star ingredient, is a face cream, a rich face cream, two cleansers (an enzymatic one and a foaming one) and a hyaluronic acid serum. While you won’t be able to pick up the $58 to $335 products at just any department store, they will be available online and in store at Harrod’s with worldwide shipping.
