Gift-giving season is here and shopping on Amazon for beauty gifts is a no-brainer. From drugstore makeup that I swear is better than their luxury counterparts to clinically-proven skin care to holiday sets that’ll make anyone on your list swoon, Amazon’s virtual shelves are stocked. They’ve even curated a devoted Beauty Gifts page to make browsing their thousands of products a breeze. Add in two-day shipping (for Prime members) and even holiday procrastinators will wow this season.
Makeup Gifts
Amazon has quite the selection of editor-approved makeup. RMS Beauty’s Luminizer is by far the prettiest highlighter I’ve ever worn and it would be a thoughtful gift for a friend who takes clean beauty seriously. Another cheek product we’ve covered multiple times this year is Milk Makeup’s Cooling Water Jelly Tint—one editor called it the year’s “coolest trend,” and a second tried every color. We also give glowing reviews to U Beauty’s The Plasma Lip Compound (featured in NewBeauty‘s 2024 Luxury Review Box). Finally, my favorite lip oil: e.l.f. Glow Reviver. In my humble opinion, it’s better than a certain designer lip oil that costs five times as much. Put every shade in my stocking please, Santa.
Skin-Care Gifts
When the NuFace Mini+ debuted, our editor called it a “serious upgrade” and we stand by it today. Even better? A board-certified dermatologist confirmed the facial-contouring device is “worth the splurge.” You can also get the NewBeauty Award winner for Best Lactic Acid Treatment on Amazon. Sunday Riley’s Good Genes leaves skin looking remarkably smoother, more radiant and plump with less visible lines and wrinkles. Another great stocking stuffer idea is Caudalíe’s Beauty Elixir and Dr. Jart sheet masks; I have my eye on the Plump and Glow version.
Manicure Gifts
NewBeauty readers say they spent more on their manicures this year than ever, and honestly, same. Nail polish sets make fun gifts for any beauty lover and we highly recommend brands like Londontown, Dazzle Dry and, no surprise, essie. An unexpected trend that’s come back around this year is press-on nails, but put the flimsy versions from decades past out of your mind—today’s options are used and adored by professional nail artists. For a friend with no time for a salon mani, gift her Glamnetics’s short, almond-shaped press-ons in Classic Red.
Body-Care Gifts
What says self-care better than luxury body products? I go through bottles of OSEA’s legendary Undaria Algae Body Oil so fast. My new favorite body lotion is, hands down, Nécessaire’s The Body Lotion—the scents linger on your skin much longer than you think it will, and my skin is silky smooth. Not sure what to gift an extended family member or hostess? Anything Aēsop’s will impress, especially this rose-scented body wash, or try a fragrance mist. Salt & Stone’s Santal & Vetiver smells cozy, woodsy and warm.
Hair Gifts
Hair products can be a tricky gift to give, but I think anyone would be overjoyed to open these picks. Looking to splurge on a special someone? The T3 Aire 360 is absolutely “worth the hype,” according to our editor’s review. Another brand worth the investment is Oribe and Amazon has exclusive product bundles. If you’re paying attention to beauty at all you’ve heard about K18’s Leave-In Molecular Hair Mask—it’s a clear favorite among all age groups. Finally, don’t sleep on Tangle Teezer’s detangling brush; it’s a “must for minimizing hair damage.”
Gift Sets
I love beauty sets. They’re the perfect opportunity to try brands or products I may not have before without too much commitment. Luckily, Amazon’s got some on-trend holiday sets this year. Hair bond repair is one of the biggest bourgeoning categories and Olaplex is a leader among the charge. Another exciting hair option is from Ouai—the brand’s Jingle All the Ouai set includes one of our favorite clarifying shampoos in its four-piece kit. Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa fragrance mists are all over my social media feed—get the ’62 scent, the irresistible Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and a deliciously creamy shower gel in one Jet Set. Last but certainly not least, no stocking is complete without LANEIGE’s Lip Sleeping Mask. The Midnight Mini set has five flavors you can gift to one appreciative person or split into five individual presents, but you’ll be forgiven if you keep them all to yourself.
